Join this VR studio as Principal Technical Artist to work on unannounced VR IP that’s being developed in Unreal Engine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive improvements and maintain the toolchain for art asset creation and optimization
  • Train other artists in best practices, tools, and processes
  • Optimize scenes and assets, devising creative solutions for an optimal player experience
  • Research and implement technical improvements to enhance the pipeline
  • Provide technical tools and guidance to ensure art assets meet performance and quality standards

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Solid understanding of rendering theory from cutting-edge consoles to mobile.
  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5
  • Experience in mentoring other technical artists in their professional development
  • Affinity with workflow optimization and proficiency in Python for writing scripts and tools
  • Effective communication skills with management and the team
  • Highly experienced with Houdini
  • Understanding of CGFX and/or HLSL shader languages
